Mary McGuinness received her M.A. degree in TESL from Southern Illinois University. She hires, evaluates and mentors GTAs and pool lecturers, oversees class scheduling and staffing, and assists with the supervision of courses and the development of curriculum and materials. She also advises sponsored students and serves as a liaison with sponsoring agencies. She assists the director in program management and may serve as acting director in the director’s absence. Mary also represents the department in the community and in the field of teaching English as a second language.
