Apply to the AEC

Please complete the KU International Recruitment and Undergraduate Admissions (IRUA) online application. Before you can submit an application for the first time, you'll need to sign up for an account with CollegeNET. Once you have a CollegeNET account, you can begin filling out a school application. To apply only to the AEC, you must select ESL-English Language Study on your application.

To complete your application, you must also take the following steps:

  1. Pay the $85 application fee.  Online applicants must pay by credit card.
  2. Attach a legible copy of your passport.
  3. If in F-1 or J-1 status, attach proof of available financial resources to pay for all educational, living, and other expenses for one year.  See AEC Estimated Cost of Attendance for details.
  4. Attach an original, certified English transcript of your academic courses and grades from the last educational institution you attended. Photocopies must be certified as true copies.

To be considered for admission to the AEC, applicants must graduate from high school with a grade average equivalent to 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
